William Gunn's Charity

We welcome requests for grants to assist individuals who are in formal Membership of the Religious Society of Friends in Britain and are experiencing financial need or hardship.

We cannot pay taxes or promise on-going payments.  However, Friends may apply as often as is necessary, each request for a grant being taken as a separate and fresh application and dealt with on its merits.

We suggest that you enquire about any benefits you may be entitled to, if you haven't already done this.

Examples of some of our grants can be seen here (opens in a new window).

PLEASE NOTE: Our contact number has changed - please use our updated application form (opens in a new window).

Please feel free to contact us to discuss

whether you are eligible to apply for a grant

by emailing us at: williamgunnscharity@gmail.com

or by using our contact us form

All applications require support from a

pastoral care Friend in your Quaker group.

William Gunn (1738 - 1828), a Quaker, left a bequest in his will from which this charity was formed.
